Bridge Phenomena American Police Hall Of Fame Building in the East of Stuttgart. At a bridge over an expressway in the East of Stuttgart there is a small arrangement, that reminds of monuments or memorials for road casualties when it is roughly looked at. Apart from a bronze plaque at the railing of the bridge, a box with fresh flowers that is attached to the railing and a black ribbon, one notices above all a text and a collage that is fixed to the railing. Closely regarded one recognizes the drawing of a policeman. Next to it, under a picture showing the Police Museum in Miami (American Police Hall Of Fame Building), there is a prayer for policemen, that presumably can be found in its original version in this museum. For the arrangement of the Stuttgart memorial Susann Lex translated it into German and hung it next to the drawing. The bronze plaque itself, in which the names of two police sergeants are engraved in, gives information about both the policemen's day of death, which was August 8, 1989. Every year in August the memorial is paid closer attention when friends and relatives, the mayor of Stuttgart and the 'Republikaner', the radical right-wing party, remind themselves of the victims and decorate the place by laying wreaths.
Auf einer Schnellstraßenbrücke im Osten von Stuttgart befindet sich ein Arrangement, das flüchtig betrachtet an Mahnmale und Gedenkstätten für Verkehrstote erinnert. Neben einer Bronzeplatte auf dem Brückengeländer, einem Blumenkasten mit frischen Blumen der an das Geländer montiert ist und der Schleife eines Trauerkranzes fällt vor allem ein Text und eine Collage auf, die an dem Geländer fixiert sind. Bei näherem Hinsehen erkennt man die Zeichnung eines Polizisten. Daneben, unter einem Bild, das das Police Museum in Miami (American Police Hall Of Fame Building) zeigt, findet sich ein Gebet für Polizisten, das vermutlich in seiner ursprünglichen Version in diesem Museum zu finden ist. Für die Gestaltung des Stuttgarter Mahnmals wurde es von Susann Lex ins Deutsche übersetzt und neben die Zeichnung gehängt. Die Bronzetafel selbst, in die die Namen von zwei Polizeiobermeistern eingraviert sind gibt Auskunft über den gemeinsamen Todestag der Polizisten, den 8. August 1989. Alljährlich im August fällt dann auch die Gedenkstätte verstärkt in den Blick, wenn Freunde und Verwandte, der Oberbürgermeister der Stadt Stuttgart und die rechtsextreme Partei der Republikaner sich der Opfer erinnern und den Ort mit niedergelegten Kränzen schmücken.
