Long time ago, there lived a young and adventurous man. This man was an explorer and ethnographer in his heart, always longing for travels and discoveries. It so happened that one day he heard rumors about strange developments among the natives of the Old World. Some kind of new and innovative style in making and decorating objekts of art has been spreading among the craftsmen of various tribes for some time and was already receding, gradually slipping into oblivion. Intrigued by this, he immediately organized few expeditions across the ocean, visited all important places, collected paintings and objects from the natives and recorded their stories. Impressed with what he saw and heard he brought back numerous artefacts and decided to create the ethnographic museum naming it ČMuseum of Modern Art». Soon after he organized the exhibition of two most unusual styles known as ČCubism» and ČAbstract Art». This exhibition subsequently became the model for the museums permanent display and in the same time established the model for all the museums of modern art that came after.
